|Dive No. 1047 - Tuesday April 20th - Little Munsom - Water 16C - Air 23C - sunny - calm seas
Mark changed his flight reservations to Wednesday so we could go diving. It was a warm and sunny day on Munsom. We had 2 good dives. A lot of the kelp got washed away in the big waves of the last 2 days but some remains and it still has about a month left to grow again which is plenty of time for kelp to grow. From June the water will be too warm to support the growth of kelp.
We saw many different species of nudibranchs but I have no idea what their names are or if they even have one. Does anybody know a web address to get information on nudibranchs like names, ecology and pictures? The picture below is one of the shots I took with my digital camera and housing on the first dive yesterday. I am pretty shure that this beauty is a "Chromodoris" but I have not found the species. Does anyone know more? I would appreciate any kind of information. An email to firstname.lastname@example.org will do.
