|Dive No. 985 - Little Munsom - October 24th 2003 - Air 22 C - Water 22 C - Visibility 5 - 15 m
I keep getting calls and e-mails if the diving is still good this time of the year. Having clear skies and warm waters we divers in Jeju consider October part of the main diving diving season. There has been only one rainy day in October so far, all other days the sun has been shining. All we need is a jumper to put on and a cup of tea after diving.
So far the visibility has been unusually poor in October but it is slightly improving and was even rather good in the chanal between the two Munsoms today (15 m). Still we all are waiting for the real thing. October is supposed to have the best visibility of the year with 25 meters+.
Harald and me did our second dive from Little Munsom today and we went to the south eastern side of Big Munsom. There are some really huge soft coral of 1,5 to 1,9 meters height in 25-35 meters depth. They are pink, yellow and purple. It must have taken many years for these creatures to grow to their present size. On the way back I took the picture of a red fan coral.
